ABOUT

Textile consumption has increased steadily, doubling in volume over the last two decades. Fashion Waste Illustrated is an exhibition that asks viewers: Can we consume fashion more mindfully, use clothes for longer, and throw less away?

The showcase will use a combination of physical items and data visualisation to illustrate the escalating volumes of textile waste in Singapore. The exhibition will also feature an interactive installation made from new yarns with a lower environmental impact than conventional fibres. Finally, the exhibition will highlight some products made with the new yarns.

Fashion Waste Illustrated is produced by Graphite Studio, Nextevo, and other partners in collaboration.

Graphite Studio
